Quick start
- Create account: Verify your phone number (OTP).
- Sync contacts (mandatory) & allow location (optional): We privately match hashed phone numbers in your contacts to find mutuals and friends-of-mutuals. Location helps you see people nearby but isn’t required.
- Profile: Choose a profile picture and at least one more photo. We only upload what you select.
- Post: Each day you’ll get a notification at a random time. You have six minutes to post to unlock your feed.
- Warm intros: Request an intro; both sides must accept before chatting.
- Ghost asks: If you post within six minutes of the notification, you can anonymously ping friends with a secret message.
Note: This version does not include an in-app chatbot or image analysis features.
FAQs
I didn’t receive the SMS code.
- Check the number you entered, wait 60 seconds, then tap Resend.
- Toggle Airplane Mode off/on or reboot if still stuck.
- Some VOIP numbers can’t receive codes; use a standard mobile number.

How do warm intros work?
You request an intro. The other person gets a notification and can accept or decline. A chat opens only if both accept.
Are ghost asks really anonymous?
Yes. If you post within six minutes of the daily notification, you unlock anonymous pings. Recipients see the message, not your identity.
Photos privacy
We only upload the specific photos you choose (including via the iOS Limited Photos picker). We do not scan your entire library and do not perform automated image analysis.
Delete my account / data
- In-app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- No access to the app? Email contact@sixsocialapp.com with subject “Delete Account” from your registered email/number. We’ll confirm and process deletion.
Report or remove someone
- Remove from your network: In Chats, swipe left on the conversation and tap the delete icon to remove that person; they lose access to the chat.
- Report a user or content: Email contact@sixsocialapp.com with details (screenshots, username, time). We aim to review and act within 24 hours.

Six – Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the current iPhone version of Six submitted to the App Store.
1) Summary
We collect only what we need to run Six, help you find mutuals, and keep the community safe. Contacts sync is required for core functionality. Photos and Location are optional. You can delete your account at any time.
2) Data We Collect
- Account & Identifiers: phone number (for OTP sign-in), device identifiers, push token.
- Contacts (required): to power mutuals and warm introductions, Six requests access to your contacts. We hash phone numbers and use them to discover mutuals. We do not store your address book in plaintext.
- Photos (optional, you choose): if you select photos (including via the iOS Limited Photos picker), we upload only the items you choose for posting/profile. We do not scan your entire photo library and do not perform automated image analysis.
- Location (optional): if enabled, we use city/region-level signals to improve relevance (e.g., who’s nearby / in your city).
- Usage & Diagnostics: app interactions, device type, crash logs, and basic analytics to keep the app reliable.
- Support Communications: messages you send to us (e.g., email or in-app support).
3) How We Use Data
- Core features: account login (phone/OTP), mutuals mapping from your contacts, viewing connections, messages between unlocked connections, and notifications.
- Safety & moderation: detect spam/abuse and enforce community rules.
- Improvement: fix bugs, measure performance, and develop new features.
- Support: respond to questions and troubleshoot issues.
No ads / no cross-app tracking: We do not use third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking.
4) Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., SMS/OTP delivery, cloud hosting, analytics) under contracts that limit their use to our instructions.
- Legal/safety recipients if required by law or to protect users, our rights, or the security of the service.
5) Moderation & Reporting
At this time, there is no in-app “Report” control. To report a user or content, email contact@sixsocialapp.com with details (screenshots, username, and when it occurred). We aim to review and act on reports within 24 hours. We may remove content or delete an account that violates our rules.
6) Your Choices & Controls
- Contacts (required): Six relies on contacts to function. If you don’t want to provide contacts, you may choose not to use the service or you can delete your account.
- Photos: you control which photos (if any) are uploaded. Revoke or change access in iOS Settings; remove uploaded photos in-app.
- Location: toggle permission in iOS Settings; the app works without it.
- Notifications: manage in iOS Settings.
- Deletion: delete in-app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or email contact@sixsocialapp.com (subject: Delete Account) from your registered email/number.
7) Retention
We keep data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period (usually ≤30 days), except where we’re required by law or have legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention) to retain it longer.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No system is perfectly secure.
9) International Transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10) Children
Six isn’t directed to children under 13. If we learn a child under 13 has used Six, we’ll delete the account.
11) Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object/restrict processing. Contact contact@sixsocialapp.com to exercise these rights.
12) Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in-app or by email where required.
